Printable Curriculum Resources
Studies are a different way of introducing educational content to children, instead of having a “theme” or a set of themes that you follow each month, you find out what the children want to learn about or are interested in and then explore that topic in-depth. This also means you won’t know in the beginning of the school year what you will be teaching in the middle of it, because interests change over time.
Using studies vs. themes in a preschool settings is more engaging, because the children are part of creating the curriculum, each year will be different because of the children you will have in your class. The studies are hands-on and are meaningful to the children’s everyday life.
The Creative Curriculum® is a Trademarked Curriculum by Teaching Strategies®. This is NOT the actual Curriculum, these are ideas and materials that are useful when using the Curriculum, especially for teachers who are new to it.
